Interior Design Process
With open communication, and a clearly delineated process, BHID moves ideas to designs, and designs to completed interiors. Here’s how we do it:
a. Prospective client & designer meet in BHID Design Studio to discuss the project and determine fit. If the fit is right, we move to:
a. Submitted to our new or returning client, tor our design services. And then it’s onto:
a. Meeting at our client’s home, or office, we discuss project details & budget.
b. The space is measured and “before” photos are taken.
c. Returning to BHID Design Studio, the designer creates a completion schedule. This leads to:
4. CONCEPTUAL DESIGN
a. Several design options are presented to client.
b. Designer shares sketches, color schemes, fabrics, finishes for client review.
c. An active and engaged design discussion between client and designer begins, which clears the way to:
5. DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
a. Details are added for the client to review.
b. All finishes and furnishings are presented for the client’s approval. And that gets us up to:
a. Client is presented with all details of the project for approval. With approval received, we move to:
7. PROPOSALS AND CONTRACTS
a. Contractors and/or furnishing proposals are presented to the client for consent.
b. Receipt of client’s signed contracts, as well as deposits, means the project gets started. And that means we proceed to:
8. DESIGN EXECUTION + PROJECT MANAGEMENT
a. All specifications are finalized for contractors.
b. All purchase orders are issued.
c. BHID team begins work.
d. All matters of interior design project management are handled by BHID.
e. And all questions that arise during the course of the project are addressed by the designer, who is readily available to the client. And so we get to:
a. Designer and designer team is onsite for the installation of furnishings. Which means the best, most anticipated day has finally arrived. And the client gets to:
